What is Election Commission of India?
Election Commission of India (ECI) is the authority regulated by the Indian Government. Their main responsibilities are to administer the elections of Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha, President, Vice President and State Legislatures.
State Wise Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) also comes under Election Commission of India (ECI). Their main responsibility is to make Voter Id Card’s and voters can also request this department to make changes in already made Voter Id Card.
Indian voters can apply for the new “Voter ID” card from Online. They have launched a Website where you can easily enroll yourself i.e. www.nvsp.in. Other than that, you can also apply for deletion or objection in Electoral Roll, Correction of Entry, New Oversees Registration and Track Application Status.
