Xiaomi is the one of the top smartphone selling company in India. They have gained a big market share by providing affordable but high-end smartphone. They are must be the only one which is facing a shortage of the phone. But now they know the reason why, that is why from today 7 March 2018, they will be stopping cash on delivery.
News broke just an hour ago before the redmi sell hit the internet. Today they have arranged the redmi sell for Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro and they have announced not to take COD as the payment option from now one.
Why Xiaomi stop the COD as payment?
The reason behind it would be really surprising. As we know that redmi phone is sold out in a matter of seconds every single time. People are trying to buy this phone for months, but they didn’t get a chance to have it and they also complain about it to the Xiaomi on twitter.
Soon company investigate the detail and find something bizarre in the Indian market. As the shortage of the phone. Reseller is ordering phone vie COD and then they sell the phone for higher prices. It has been going around for quite a long time and finally, they have caught it.
As company launch Mi TV 4C and they will have the quick sale today at 3 pm on the website and the Flipkart, they remove the option of COD from both of the place. They have taken the measure to stop the reselling of the overpriced redmi phone by not giving the option of cash on delivery.
How COD will force the Reseller?
As we know, if we want to take part in the redmi flash sell, we need to make an account on their official website or from Flipkart. For people who like to take this phone by paying online, they need to prefeed the data in it. you need to put your address and bank detail in it so when the flash sale is open, they will fetch the information and you don’t need to put it back.
But with COD, you can create any name account and buy the phone from there. As you don’t need to fill out your banking detail, people are making multiple dummy account to get many more phones, so that they can resell it at a higher price.
By not allowing COD, people have to submit their detail and as banking detail cannot be faked and most people have only one bank account, the reselling of the Redmi phone will be finally stopped.
They have taken this decision right before Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro go on flash sale. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 you can buy at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. The 4GB/64GB variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro you can get at Rs 13,999, and the 6GB/64GB variant will be sold at Rs 16,999.
